Choosing the Right Methods to Make Money Online

1 comments

You've probably been looking all over the internet, searching for ways to make money online and the truth is the list of things you can do is endless! You could gamble for example, a pretty risky way of making money in anyone's eyes! Or you could even buy stocks and shares, again pretty risky, but I think you can see what I'm getting at, I could go on and on! A rapidly growing option these days is online marketing. This is most certainly the most effective way of making a (dare I use the word) easy income from home. There are people out there making thousands a day online... and how do you do it you ask... well here is a few ways that people generate a lot of money online!

I'm going to start with affiliate marketing. With affiliate marketing you just sign up with an affiliate program to represent a product or a service for a business, and you get paid commission for the product or services that you refer a sale to. So if you put a link on your website advertising a marketing product and someone clicks on this link and buys something from their website you get paid! You don't have to do anything but place a link... so simple!

Next there is online advertising. You can use Google ad sense for example and place ads on your website, whereby if someone clicks on that advert you get paid! You could also sell advertising space on your website, obviously if your website is huge and has high traffic people will pay more to advertise on your website.

Finally I'm going to go onto blog marketing. I thought this was appropriate as the first two methods I mentioned can tie in with this! Basically create a blog, which trust me is not that hard! When you have created a blog, make regular posts on it, keep it up to date. This is the way that it will get recognised by the search engines. You can then put affiliate links on your blog, which is great for saying you can create a blog for free and it's also usually free to become an affiliate, so a win win situation! You can also then put some Google ad sense on there, bit more free advertising, then when your blog comes together and people start visiting it, your laughing!

So... there is just a few methods to make money online. It's not that hard, doesn't take up a lot of time so give it a try!

Affiliate Marketing for Beginners

0 comments

There are several different ways to make money online but if you want an easy form of income arriving in your account why not try affiliate marketing! Generating income online at the start of your internet career is not always easy but there are ways which can enhance your earnings from a few minutes work. It's easy yet effective!

It's a simple concept really, a lot of businesses on the internet use affiliates to make their business more money. In a nut shell with affiliate marketing you just sign up with an affiliate program to represent a product or a service for a business, and you get paid commission for the product or services that you refer a sale to. So if you put a link on your website advertising a marketing product and someone clicks on this link and buys something from their website you get paid! You don't have to do anything but place a link...so simple!

First of all you need to select a product you wish to promote. So if you're an internet marketer and you have a website about internet marketing it would be sensible to promote an internet marketing product on your website. Next if you don't have a website just spend a little time setting up a blog. It's free and easy and can make you more at no cost to you at all!

There are several sites you can use for affiliate programs - here are just a few recommended sites - Google, eBay, Amazon, Clickbank & Cnet.

Internet Marketing School

0 comments

To say the internet is huge would probably be a slight understatement! It quite daunting in a way, I mean you see people all over the internet making hundreds of thousands each year, and when you're just starting out you may wonder how you can ever get to that point! Well you need to start off somewhere...

Choosing a marketing school, organisation or just a mentor is no easy task, but it's something that is vital to most people's online marketing career. Some people choose not to use an organisation and to just simply 'wing it' as such, work on a trial and error basis, which does work for some people. On the other hand the ones that are maybe not as confident, or more cautious choose an organisation or mentor to help them along the way. The thing is everybody needs a helping hand, guidance or whatever you want to call it when starting on the internet.

There are a couple of characteristics you should look for when selecting an organisation / mentor.

1. Their track record - You want to find an internet marketing school that has good experience and knowledge on the internet and preferably been operational for a good few years. If they don't know any more than you know when starting out then they aren't much good!

2. The basic resources - When getting underway on the internet you are going to need some basic resources to get you started. You want to see if some basic resources are provided by that organisation, basically so you don't have to purchase it from elsewhere!

3. Reputation - You want to find out what other people think who use that school, get some feedback before you choose, there is no harm in that! There is no point in jumping into something you know nothing about!

The truth is there are hundreds of internet marketing organisations all over the internet. You need to choose one that is right for you, that gives you a good vibe! Take your time over choosing one, it's not something that should be taken lightly. Join the right organisation and they will give you the foundation to start your internet business.

Start working on your Site - Get Traffic Today

0 comments
I am sooo sick of the same questions here :

A) How do I get traffic.
B) No one visits my site.
C) How do I get links.
D) What's the easiest way to make money.

and these are just a handful of the persistent questions, and the answer is - if you are asking these questions then you are either new or simply have no idea and are doomed to failure already ....

Just look at the popular eBooks and threads here "Make easy money" "make $500 a day" etc. These are titled to sell and the majority suck balls and are re-written 100s of times on DP and resold over and over again - yet they always sell ....

There is no easy way to make money, there's is no easy way to get traffic, there is no easy way to get quality links .... are you following me ?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OK now let me begin :
A) Select a theme or topic of your site.
Now some people fail straight away here, they either jump on a said high click value niche like "Forex" or start a blog / site about uncle bobs ant farm .... or they grab a niche and go from there - not always a mistake.
My advice is start off being very general, screw the niche preaches, a blog can have categories and tags, these can be your niches, my favorite niche is "Popular News" - yes popular news ....
B) Do a little research, I don't mean find out what pays the highest per click, find out what is popular right now - yes right now and not 3 years ago. There are several web sites that you are visiting all the time that have "Hot Topics" .... personally I use Google/Trends - http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends - more on that later.
C) Now time to get content, browse trends and find out what others are writing, re-word the content, re-write the content, write your own content - the key here is to create as much and many posts / pages that you can and churn out a lot of content daily.
D) OK promote the content, again this is where many web masters go wrong, it makes me sick when people encourage others to spam and build links - you really don't need to. Just a Digg, a Stumble, a Flurl will do just fine ....
Wordpress is best :
E) OK I mentioned Google/Trends this is a excellent source for topics, grab some search terms and start writing about it - that simple, I use wordpress - so in each post I tag the post with associated search terms that are listed in Google trends.
F) Call the post exactly the same as Google/Trends search term, move the keywords / tags in the template file to the top of each post - excellent move for Google SEO - as these tags are always used in Google search engine .... generally the first line of text in your post is used and this is the tags and they are directly related to the post.
G) Now as traffic starts to come in, make sure that you measure it and can track what people are searching for - what searches you are doing well in Google for and then expand on those search terms - create more posts and use the same tags as the original .... I may have Google Rocks my Site as the post and people are searching for Google Rocks my Blog - so I will create a new post called Google Rocks my Blog.
I could keep on going but I wont ....
Remember these tips though:
Stop spending so much time on other sites promoting your own, start spending more time on your site creating content.
95% of your time should be spent on your site and not 95% of your time on other sites promoting your site.
Wordpress Vs Blogger, Which One is Best
0 comments
So here is the definitive question for all bloggers! Which is better, wordpress or Google's blogger!?
When people are starting out on the internet, maybe just wanting to create a blog for fun or maybe for business purposes, they often have to same dilemma. Which one shall I use!? As both of these blog sites are huge on the internet it can sometimes be difficult to differentiate between the two, and not everyone wants to try them both and set up two blogs at once! People have different opinions on which one is better and the reasons why, so the best way to decide is to go over the advantages and disadvantages of both sites!
Blogger....
Advantages
• You can have Google AdSense on your site to make you a little extra pocket money.
• You can advertise whatever you want, affiliate links, AdSense etc etc (related to you site, obviously!)
• It's free!
• It's simple!
Disadvantages
• Most look very unprofessional, the odd one looks good, but there generally the ones that bring in their own templates!
• It can look overcrowded with loads of adverts and because you can put them on, most people tend to. This can make it hard to read.
• It's difficult to add more pages, unless you really know what you're doing or bring in your own template!
Now wordpress....
Advantages
• It looks very professional, practically all the templates look good!
• Its user friendly, not hard to navigate at all.
• Most of the templates allow you to add extra pages.
• It's not as hard as everyone makes out
Disadvantages
• You can't advertise, or you're not supposed to! They allow a very small amount, I'm talking a link here and there but there not suppose to be affiliate links etc.
• If you want to personalise your wordpress site with your own domain it's going to cost you!
10 Keys to Success
0 comments
There are so many factors determining your success in internet marketing, so much to think about, but as with many jobs there are some basic principles to apply to internet marketing which will substantially help you along the way. Follow these and it will make life a lot easier!
The 10 basic keys
1. Mindset - This is probably the most important key, which ironically most people do not apply! The way you think determines the way you act, and the way you act determines what you actually do, so the importance of a positive mindset cannot be stressed enough to make sure what you actually do is successful!
2. Taking action - You have a great mindset, that's great, but if you just sit doing nothing with it then nothing is ever going to happen! It's about applying what you know effectively, to make internet marketing work for you.
3. Educate yourself - Hard as it may be, you have to treat internet marketing as being at school! There is so much to know, a phenomenal amount, and you need to keep yourself educated along the track, whether it be through your mentor or e-books etc.
4. Planning - It's just the same as planning a route, if you don't plan you go the wrong way, if you plan you get to your destination! Setting goals for yourself is so important, you can then measure how you are getting on and make sure your going in the right direction.
5. Consistency - Whatever is getting you results, you must stay consistent with what you're doing. If something is working for you and you stop doing that, then the inevitable is going to happen!
6. Perseverance - Life has its ups and downs, but you can't quit! No-one succeeds on their first attempt in trying something, so try again and again until you can make it work. Stick with what you're doing, don't give up!
7. Time management - You need to balance your day between your activities, you can't do everything, there aren't enough hours in the day! Even though it is hard you must create a balance in what you are doing.
8. Personal responsibility - You are responsible for your success, you are the one who will determine your success, it's all down to you! There is no 'shortcut' or 'easy' way to success, you need to put in some hard work to get there.
9. Patience - Everything takes time, if something isn't working straight away don't panic. Just give it time, many people fail because they don't give tings enough time!
10. Testing - Keep track of what is doing well and what is not doing so well for you. Keep trying new ideas - or repeat the ones that are doing well for you!
With that said, when you are next trying a new form of advertising or even an existing form of advertising, try applying these simple principles, see if it makes a difference for you!
5 Ways to Simply Make Money Online
0 comments
I'd say the majority of people out there would like to be sitting at home, doing their thing and making some money, rather than being at work 9-5 every day of the week! This may be a pipe dream to some but if you know how to do it, it's very achievable!
There are countless ways you can make money online in this day and age, but most people don't even know there out there. Even the people with websites don't realise that they can add a few extras here and there to make a little more money. The internet is like a huge free client base just waiting to be found, and these are 5 ways to go out onto the World Wide Web and earn a little money!
1. Affiliate marketing - To say this is a huge thing on the internet would be an understatement! Some people are making a living online from solely selling and promoting other peoples products and services. Clickbank is just one of many places on the internet where you can gain access to thousands of products you can sell online as an affiliate. You can simply sell them on your website or create a new website just for that product to make it look professional.
2. Online surveys - Can you believe you can get paid online for taking a survey! It's so easy and really doesn't take that much time but it won't make you rich if that's what you're looking for! There are several online survey companies out there, some pay better than others, it's just a matter of finding one that agrees with you.
3. Selling on Amazon and EBay - Whoever came up with this idea is nothing short of a genius. One mans junk is another mans treasure! No matter what you may have lying around its always worth going on one of these sites to see if there is anything similar or the same that is selling. You never know, you may just get something for an item you considered to be nothing!
4. Google AdSense - Every time someone clicks on an advert on your site, you get paid! If you create a blog with Google's blogger you can put them all over the place, free! But that's all good and well but your website needs to be found to make this method of making money a success.
5. Google AdWords - This is probably the most popular method of advertising used by affiliate marketers and many businesses. If you want to get your website to the top of the search engines then this is the way to do it! Obviously being seen by others will make you money as you will gain huge amounts of traffic but every time someone clicks on your ad, you pay Google! With that said it is still a fantastic way of making money if you have a product that people want!
Want To Live A More Enjoyable Life
0 comments
Any type of physical activity you choose to do--strenuous activities such as running or aerobic dancing or moderate-intensity activities such as walking or household work--will increase the number of calories your body uses (remember, calories in – calories out.) And the good news is it's easier than one thinks to perform numerous aerobic activities throughout the day.
So we all know we’re supposed to exercise. So what? Without getting to technical, here are a couple reasons we all need to get out and exercise…NOW.
  • Exercise improves the strength and pumping efficiency of the heart, enabling more blood to be pumped with each stroke. This improves the ability to more rapidly transport life sustaining oxygen from the lungs to the heart and to all parts of the body.
  • Exercise tones up muscles throughout the body, thereby improving the general circulation, at times lowering the blood pressure and reducing the work on the heart.
  • Exercise causes an increase in the total amount of blood circulating through the body and increases the number of red blood cells and the amount of hemoglobin (matter which conveys oxygen to tissues), making the blood a more efficient oxygen carrier.
    • This increase in circulation has a twofold benefit to the body. First, an abundant supply of oxygen is taken not only to the muscles, but also to every part of the system.
    • And second, the blood is circulated through the eliminating organs at a much greater amount, thus resulting in an increase in the elimination of the body's wastes. Both of these are essential for good health and healing.
  • There’s been a lot of talk about good and bad cholesterol lately. Well, aerobic exercise can raise your body's high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels (good cholesterol) and lower your body's low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels (bad cholesterol), improving blood flow, and increasing your heart's working capacity.
To make a long story short, a physically fit person has greater ability to tolerate the physical challenges of daily life, whereas an unfit person would terminate activity because of fatigue. Trying to lose or maintain weight? Physical activity helps to control your weight by using excess calories that otherwise would be stored as fat. The number of calories you eat and use each day regulates your body weight. Everything you eat contains calories, and everything you do uses calories, including sleeping, breathing, and digesting food. Any physical activities in addition to what you normally do will use extra calories.
So now we have a little of the technical information on why exercise is good for the body (and soul we should add.) But where do we start and what types of exercise should we be focusing on?
First, your heart rate
While exercising, you want to work hard enough (intensity) for your heart rate to reach between 140 and 170, which is approximately double your resting rate. A person who is in poor physical condition will reach the Target Heart Rate with very little effort expended because the resting rate is high (80's or 90's) and the body does not have enough oxygen, so the person gets tired very quickly. On the other hand, the person in good physical condition will have to work harder to reach the target heart rate because the resting heart rate is low (50's). Remember, the heart becomes a more efficient pump - delivering the oxygen needed with fewer beats. Therefore, it takes more effort to get the heart rate up to 170.
Low impact versus High impact
Aerobic activity is often coined either High Impact or Low Impact. The basic difference is that one foot always stays on the floor and supports the weight of the body in low-impact aerobics. High-impact aerobics include actions that take both feet off the floor, thus causing more jarring of the joints when the body weight hits the floor again. An example of Low Impact is walking while High Impact is jogging or jumping up and down.
The point is not to make physical activity an unwelcome chore, but to make the most of the opportunities you have to be active.
It is important to start at a low intensity and increase this over the following few weeks as the exercise feels easier. For example, 20 minutes of walking, jogging or a combination of walking/jogging may be sufficient to leave you rather breathless and fairly tired at the start of your program, but as the weeks go by, you may need to increase the pace or introduce jogging up some shallow hills to achieve a further increase in fitness.
To continue to increase your fitness level, you will have to increase the time spent exercising aerobically to 30 minutes per session for up to five sessions per week.
Examples of mild to moderate aerobic activities:
  • Take a short walk around the block
  • Rake leaves
  • Play actively with the kids
  • Walk up the stairs instead of taking the elevator
  • Mow the lawn
  • Take an activity break--get up and stretch or walk around
  • Park your car a little farther away from your destination
Examples of higher intensity aerobic activities:
  • Brisk walking
  • Jogging
  • Bicycling
  • Swimming
  • Aerobic dancing
  • Racket sports
  • Rowing
  • Ice or roller-skating
  • Cross-country or downhill skiing
  • Using aerobic equipment (i.e., treadmill, stationary bike)
Exercise can have a surprising number of benefits: it can improve your cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance, which translates into an increase in energy; it can dramatically reduce the risk of coronary artery disease; it may also help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and aid in weight control; and it appears to give self-esteem a measurable boost, and in general to improve your sense of well-being.
Best Advice On Staying Spyware And Virus-Free
0 comments
Best Advice On Staying Spyware And Virus-Free
We’ve all heard the cliché “There’s no such thing as a free lunch.” This is as true on the Internet as anywhere else. Adware and spyware programs, also called malware or trackware, infect 9 of out 10 Internet-connected computers. Spyware can slow your computer to a crawl, corrupt your hard drive, or expose your private information. The most common way it gets on your computer is when you are downloading something else that claims to be free.
What is spyware and how did it get on your PC?
  • Adware and spyware programs, also called malware or trackware, quietly and secretly monitor everything you do online, and can communicate your activities to a third party such as an online advertiser.
  • Spyware is commonly installed on your PC as a hidden addition to a legitimate program, by visiting websites, or through spam email.
  • Unlike the instant impact of a virus, well-written spyware and adware programs never reveal their presence on your PC.
  • Pop-up ad problems, a different homepage that you can't change, and a slower PC or online experience are indications of a spyware problem.
  • No one is immune from Spyware infection. A recent study by EarthLink and Webroot found an average of 26.5 spyware and adware traces per SpyAudit scan.
Where does spyware come from?
Spyware is software that collects personal information from you without first letting you know what it's doing and without letting you decide whether this is OK or not. The information spyware collects can range from all the Web sites you visit to more sensitive information like usernames and passwords. You might be the target of spyware if you download music from file-sharing programs, free games from sites you don't trust, or other software programs from an unknown source.
Spyware is often associated with software that displays advertisements, called adware.
The extra processing required to track you or to display advertisements can tax your computer and hurt your system performance.
What are the signs that your PC is infected with spyware?
  • Your homepage is reset to an undesirable website change it back.
  • Problems with pop-up ads.
  • Slower than usual PC performance or Internet access.
  • Redirected web search results.
  • Strange additions to Favorites list or start-up menu.
Over the past several years in the course of repairing countless numbers of computers, IT professionals have identified thousands of spyware files, folders and Registry keys. Here’s a list compiled by experts of Do’s and Don’ts for protecting your systems from spyware and viruses.
Do
  • Run up-to-date anti-virus software. We recommend Kaspersky Internet Security™ or Kasperksy Anti-Virus™ (www.kaspersky.com).
  • Run up-to-date Spyware monitoring software, such as SpySweeper™ (www.webroot.com).
  • Update the above-mentioned software manually if you are a dial-up user.
  • Clean off temporary Internet files from your computer.
  • Be wary of files you download off the Internet.
  • Supervise children – sites they visit and files they download.
  • Download music using legitimate pay-for-music distribution sites such as Napster, Rhapsody and iTunes.
  • Have your system maintained by a certified IT professional every 3-4 months to insure your investment lasts 3-5 years.
Don’t
  • Download any type of free file-sharing utility (music, games, applications) such as KaZaa, Limewire, Bearshare, P2P, Grokster and Morpheus.
  • Click on any type of pop-up advertisement – always close them immediately using the “X” in the upper right corner of your browser window.
  • Accept email attachments from people you do not know.
  • Download freeware and shareware (free programs on Internet) unless you know they are from a legitimate company.
Top Marketing Strategies Direct Mail Frequency
0 comments
The owner of a mid-size business in a regional market wrote in with this question about direct mail strategy for introducing a new product:
“If you had a choice of mailing to several communities one time (possibly twice) as opposed to mailing to a few communities two (maybe three or four) times, what would you recommend?”
In all but a few situations, our answer to this type of question is going to be “go with frequency.” It’s essential that your mailer be there during the critical time frame in which the customer is interested in your product. And you don’t know when that will be.
For instance, you may have the best deal on dishwashers in the state, but your offer will barely register as people sort their mail…until the month comes when they notice their old machine is starting to leak, or they’re getting ready to sit down with their contractor and spec out the kitchen remodel. If you’ve been mailing on a steady basis, your offer will likely get their consideration. If you’ve mailed only once, they’ve probably forgotten about it.
Of course while frequency is a key, it won’t do you any good to mail frequently to the wrong lists or to the wrong list segments. That’s where mail list testing comes in.
You might consider doing an initial, broad mailing to several list segments and carefully tracking response to that initial mailing. (Make sure your employees know to ask customers who call or come in to your store how they heard about the new product.) If particular segments of the initial mailing perform better than others, and your mailing budget is limited, we’d recommend following up with a program of frequent mailings to those top-performing segments rather than only one additional mailing to the broader list.
Segmenting and testing lists is an art, and much of it is influenced by how well you — and your list broker — know the lists you are using. It’s important to have direct marketing consultants who pride themselves in helping clients tailor the right lists to find the right buyers.
Increase your ROI using segmented mailing lists
0 comments
There is no question that segmenting your mailing list can increase ROI. You can use segmenting to hone in on the recipients who best match your campaign criteria. Or you can use segmenting the way major catalogs retailers do: segmenting a list and sending out tailored versions of the offer to each segment.
Segmenting a mailing list of existing customers is relatively easy because you have data about them in relationship to your products or services. You know how much they usually spend, how often they make purchases, and when their last purchase occurred.
You can also segment a brand-new list to significantly increase its effectiveness. Here are some of the criteria commonly used to segment a new business-to-consumer list for targeted mailings:
• Income level
• ZIP code (this information can be correlated to lifestyle information for that area)
• Marital status
• Gender
• Children living in the home
Business-to-business lists can also be segmented by various criteria:
• Business size
• Total revenue
• Industry served
Deciding how to segment a list for your campaign is just the first step. The next is to create and test targeted copy for your offer that leverages the information available about the prospects. Just as people pay attention when they are addressed by their names (personalization), people take notice when an offer shows that the sender understands their interests.
Be sure to call out the customized nature of your offer prominently in headlines or email subject lines to list segments. Instead of a generic headline such as “Announcing our new2007 cruises,” test headlines such as “2007 lineup includes three new family cruises” (households with children) and “Meet other Tri-State singles on summer weekend cruises” (singles, particular ZIP codes).
